This site publishes about identifiable people and companies. That carries an obligation to correct errors quickly and visibly, and to give anyone we write about a route to respond. This page sets out both.
Reporting an error
Anyone may report a suspected inaccuracy, whether or not they are the subject of the article. You do not need to be a lawyer, and you do not need to send a formal notice.
Please include, where you can:
- the URL of the article
- the specific sentence or claim you say is wrong
- what the correct position is
- any source supporting that

How we handle it
We aim to acknowledge every correction request within 3 working days and to reach a decision within 14 days. Where a claim is plainly wrong, we will not wait for that window — we will correct it as soon as we have established it.
Our possible outcomes are:
- Correction. The claim was factually wrong. We amend the article, append a dated correction note explaining what changed, and record it in the correction log below.
- Clarification. The claim was accurate but capable of being misread. We amend the wording and note the clarification.
- Update. The claim was accurate when published and circumstances have since changed — most commonly a change in the status of legal proceedings. We update the article and date the update.
- Removal. Where a claim cannot be adequately sourced, we remove it. We do not leave unsourceable material online while we argue about it.
- No change. Where we are satisfied the article is accurate and properly sourced, we say so and explain why, and we set out the sources relied on.
We do not silently edit articles. Substantive changes to factual content are always disclosed on the article.
Right of reply
Any person or organisation that is the subject of an article on this site may submit a response. This includes Elon Musk, Tesla, Inc., SpaceX, X Corp, xAI, and any representative acting for them.
Our undertaking:
- A response of reasonable length will be published in full, unedited, on the article it concerns.
- We will not answer back within the response itself. If we have a view, it goes below it, clearly separated.
- We will not require you to accept any condition, waiver or agreement in order to exercise this.
- A denial will be recorded as a denial. We will not characterise a refusal to comment as an admission of anything.
